This week is a perfect example of how things can be a bit unpredictable.  I actually embrace having change of an unpredictable nature in my life cause it changes things up and makes life interesting.  For instance, this week I am starting a new job (The one that pays most of the bills for now, and that will change soon), and I also have a CD course I started this week, plus I am concentrating on learning and applying some techniques as learned from the Problogger for my blogs.  I do have other things that I do regularly such as meditating, working out and excercising.

These are some of the things I do to keep life on track:

1.  Meditate every morning when I wake up no matter what.

I usually plan ahead and wake up an hour before my wife, and if I am on vacation, I plan to wake up a couple of hours before anyone just in case so I can enjoy the quiet environment.

2.  Have your mini-goals for the days and week written out and prioritized with a number (1-3) one thru three.

One is reserved for urgent tasks, Two for semi important tasks that could wait until tomorrow if they had to, and 3 is the least and can be passed on for a couple of days.  I use a list on a piece of paper instead of my phone or computer as I find it easier to cross things out as I finish them during the day/week.

3. Go over your major goals once after you meditate and again before going to bed.

I will go over how I came up with my main goals in a later post.  Definitely do this every day for at least 30 days without missing a day.  If you miss a day, start from Day 1.  This is something that I learned from a Jack Canfield seminar, and it works for me well.

I will continue with the list tomorrow, but first I wanted to see what everyone out there does to keep their days manageable.  What do you do?
